Stitching Since 1994
Specializing in Guidons and Battalion Colors for framing
In April of 2006, I moved my business from New York to Northern Alabama. This year,
I celebrated 14 years of being in business! Time does fly. Who would have guessed what
began as a hobby in 1994 would turn into a full time career for me. I am prior service and
have an in-depth understanding of the attention to detail needed for producing military
flags. The business has grown tremendously, and I have adjusted as I have went along,
catering to the direction it has taken. That direction has been set by internet customers.
The pace at which I work on internet orders of guidons and colors prompted me to make a
big change for the shop. I no longer operate a 'brick and mortar' store. I am operating
completely through the internet. This is the reason I decided to change my shipping cost
to a flat rate of $4.99 for guidons and colors. My top priority is to ensure that I keep
my customers happy and provide them with outstanding service so that they receive top
quality guidons and colors in a timely manner. If you have questions about ordering,
production capacity, or current turn-a-round time, please send an e-mail to me. E-mail is my preferred method of
communication. Although I have always maintained a phone and fax number to my office, this
too will be changing soon. On September 18th, I will be disconnecting my landline and fax
to the office and going completely cellular. This makes sense for me because I always have
my cell with me (unless it's in the charger). As for this site, I have done all the work
on both the website and storefront myself, and all the pictures you see on this site of
guidons and colors were stitched by me. I get a lot of compliments on the simplicity of my
site and how easy it is to order from the storefront. My site doesn't have a lot of bells
and whistles. It's straight forward and to the point of what I do and what I can provide
for my customers. Feedback is always welcome.
Here is my pack. The youngest pup, Jezebel, is now 160lbs. She turned two on the 4th of July. In this photo she is one year old. She is an English Mastiff but still thinks of herself as a little lap dog! Mastiff's are notoriously big and lazy. We got the big part, but she is by no means lazy. My precious Rottie girl Cassie was diagnosed with bone cancer in August and I lost her on September 18th, 2008.

Anyone who is self-employed will tell you, you are always working. I love my work, but I love my dogs even more! And anyone who has ever met me knows that to be a fact. When we lived in New York, there would be weeks on end in the winter time that my dogs couldn't get enough exercise because of the weather. Since moving to Alabama, my dogs have added new meaning to the word 'exercise'. My day usually starts by 7am. Mornings are dedicated to my dogs. First, there is the going outside event (everything is an event and cause for celebration), and then the feeding event, and then the walk. In the hottest part of the summer, we wait until the sun starts to set before we go out walking. The only time I don't walk them is if it rains. My big boy Houston does not like to go out in the rain (but yet he'll go in the pond). So, whether I want to or not, I walk a couple of miles a day. It keeps me in shape and my dogs are so much better behaved and settled once they've had their walk. Then once they are settled down and taking their first of many naps for the day, I head out to the shop and get to work. With the loss of my precious Cassie, Jezebel is now my shop dog and because I am a one-person show, she is my only company while I am working.
Houston, Houston! What a baby boy. He is aging well. As he gets older, is becoming a couch potato. He is 114lbs of slobbery love. He is content to lay on the front porch watching over his domain before heading back to his bed for a nap. But he loves to walk, and will walk as long as you do!.

One of the coolest pictures I've ever taken of my dogs. This was taken at the end of October 2002 when we still lived in New York. It was a frosty cold morning. I let the dogs out first thing. As I was getting their breakfast ready, I turned around and could see their images through the fogged door. I just wiped away some of the obstructed view and this was the result.
